Yo! Baby

... We are back, not from space but from west Croydon (which sometimes can be the same)
we had a bit of a "pupu" day yesterday, so i forced myself to take Amy out;
we ended up having her a fantastic day (THANK YOU SANDRA)
part of the day was spent having lunch, and Amy had her first YO! SUSHI experience...

I think she is going to be a pro at chopsticks very very soon
:)
Also today we bought Amy's first DRAGON:

My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard

I have been recently thinking about how does Amy see us??
Does she recognise us?
Does she knows i am Mummy and Richard is daddy???
I have pondered a lot over this question and i came up with this..

The way i see me:
the way Amy sees me:

3 Months Old - "Sono una baby grande" now

... 25 September 2012 ...

It's 3 months down and another 17 years and 9 months to go before you can go solo my dear Amy
 - (were we rich you would go to boarding school like Harry Potter, but I am afraid you are stuck with us, my dear baby Amy) -
let's see how you were and how you are now:

 (on the right)
Here you are little Amy, about 15 minutes old ...

(on the left)
Here you are slightly bigger Amy about 3 months old...

 I wish we had proper stats like weight and height, but they are only approximation as we won't have a weigh-in until next Tuesday so we won't have correct info;
What we can do is see if our little lovely Amy has reached all the predicted milestones for a 3 months old baby... a quick search gives us quite a list... can Amy do any? Just a few? All of them??
let's see the below grid (ahhhh my beloved excel) and subsequent supporting evidence....

So congratulation Amy, you did reach all of your milestones ...
so from today you are not a baby anymore, you are promoted to Infant!!!!
but i will still call you baby, it sounds sooo much better then Infant or Infa Amy

Vaccination...

Considering the last two experiences with the vaccinations I was a bit apprehensive about today
...
The programme quite intense, 2 shots
shot 1 - Diphteria, tetanus, pertussis, polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)  (yes i still do not know  what this is)
shot 2 - Meningitis C
....
Last time we did such an intense vaccination Amy cried all the way home, before kind of settling into a drug induced stupor for some hours and then going to bed...
So we left early, appointment was at 10am, we got ready and donned a sporty mise:

A nice velour tracksuit :)
You can however see that Amy was already feeling my tension....
We got to the surgery at 9.55am ( i was already terrified) and this time without a wait we were ushered in, as soon as we sat down Amy started screaming her nose off ... (did she remember the previous time, did she feel me tensing up??)
but
we did not even had the time to say bubusettete that a fantastic nurse had finished...
Amy just had the time to try and say Auch and then she was as well startled by the speed of it all...
so she took the pain and just let it go ...
she fell asleep immediately ...
and i was able to close her up in the anti contagion tent that is our pram when it rains (which means form now to the end of June)
I went home full of hope and shocked it went so well
...
i was oh so wrong, poor Amy did not take it very well, and came down with her first fever
37.4
:(

so out came the calpol and this is Amy in the midst of her drug induced stupor:

So we are now almost done with the vaccinations, just one more to go at 4 months and then we are done until 1 year old
:P)

...Amy And The Killer Baby Monitor...

Just yesterday the baby monitor I ordered from the Internet arrived, I decided to go for a simple model, you know, one of these plug and play kind of things...
So i settled for this lovely thing:
.. we proceeded to plug and play and everything seemed fine...
until
i discovered it has multiple functions... one of which is ...
IT PLAYS LULLABY
...
which brings us to today
...
As usual since we have reduced the "TETTA TIME" at naps,
Amy was screaming her head off and a "lampadina" went off in my head
...

I could try with a lullaby
...
Only issue? The base that starts the lullabies was in the sitting room
so i decided to check the part of the monitor that was next to Amy's bed to see if there was a button to start the music...
here we go
picks up monitor
turns monitor over in one hand
monitor cable gets trapped in the bed
twists hand
looses grip on monitor
monitor goes flying through the hair
and
BUMP

yes i almost killed my daughter
...
she now has a bump on her head

Yes, i know the quality is not excellent, but you can see the red bumpy thingy on her head...
the problem?

she has now only one "ebete" expression ...
I BROKE OUR DAUGHTER
:(:(:(:(

I would like to deny any responsibility, and blame the evil baby monitor that clearly was trying to sabotage my otherwise flawless parenting skills ....
I swear it wasn't me
It must be a batch of killer baby monitors.....
